Green web services are on the rise, with more businesses than ever before making more eco-friendly choices. So, what exactly is ‘green hosting’ and why is it a good thing?

Did you know, that the internet’s carbon footprint is said to exceed that of global air travel? With more businesses trading online than ever before, it’s never been more important to limit the impact that this has on the environment. To be more eco-friendly, lots of businesses reduce their energy consumption and stop using disposable plastic items in their products. But, what about their online impact?

There are ‘green’ eco-friendly options available. You can minimise the impact that your website has on the environment, whilst maintaining the speed and efficiency of your website.

In our case, we use the term ‘green hosting’ to describe our services, for two reasons:

Powered By Renewables

1. Our hosting is powered by renewable energy. We use 100% green and renewable energy so you can rest assured that your hosting’s carbon footprint is as small as it can be! Web hosting can be energy intensive, so using renewable energy ensures that this doesn’t have a damaging effect on our planet.

Tree Planting

2. We plant trees for every package!

By planting trees for every package, we’re helping you to offset the carbon footprint of your website. This means that you can be having as small an impact on the environment, whilst striving for the biggest impact in your industry!

Read more about where we plant our trees and what they do – here!

(P.S. if you like the sound of this and aren’t using our services already – use the code ‘blog10’ for a discount, to say thanks for caring for our planet!)
