Reforest Hosting Impact Report – August 2026

We’re pleased to report another great month in August 2026. Thanks to all of the new sign ups this month. See this months impact below:

– Sponsored the purchase of 320 square feet of land (Banked* for future donation or purchase).

– Planted 150 trees with Ripple Africa.

Read more about each of these projects and organisations below:

Ripple Africa: is a UK charity working with local communities in Malawi to restore forests and protect the natural environment. They run community tree nurseries where villagers grow and plant millions of trees each year, helping to reverse deforestation and restore degraded landscapes. Alongside planting new trees, Ripple Africa also protects existing forests through their ‘Forest Conservation’ initiative, meaning every tree planted also helps safeguard mature trees. This community-led approach creates lasting benefits for wildlife, local ecosystems, and the people who care for them.

Banked*: This month we have decided not to make a donation straight away as we have two options coming up:

The first is to find land ourselves to purchase to set up our very first Reforest Hosting nature reserve. This has always been the long term plan and we hope to make this happen. We are currently looking into financing to see if we can make this work. If it’s not quite possible yet, this will be on the cards for the future.

The second option we have is that a local group to us Rodborough Fields Preservation Group are looking at putting in a bid on another sizeable piece of land in Stroud to bring in to community ownership and be managed for nature. They are yet to put an offer in so we will watch that space closely as they align massively with what our mission is.

We’ll likely work out over the next two months which option seems the most promising to us and will follow up our decision in future blog updates, so please watch this space.
